These terms govern the use of DenQr, the service available at denqr.com to create, customise and track QR Codes. By creating an account or using the service you agree to the following.
1. The service
DenQr lets you generate static QR Codes (the content is inside the code) and dynamic QR Codes (the code points to a short address managed by us, which you can edit and whose statistics you can see). Some features are reserved for paid plans, as shown on the pricing page.
2. Account
- You must be at least 16 years old and provide truthful information.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for everything that happens with your account.
- You can also sign in with a Google account: in that case Google’s terms apply as well.
- You can delete your account at any time from the settings or by writing to us.
3. Acceptable use
You may not use DenQr to create QR Codes that link to content that is:
- illegal, defamatory, violent or inciting hatred;
- phishing, malware, scams or impersonating others;
- infringing copyright, trademarks or the privacy of third parties;
- pornographic or otherwise unsuitable for a general audience without proper warning.
We reserve the right to suspend or deactivate QR Codes and accounts that break these rules, with or without notice depending on severity.
4. Content
The content you put in QR Codes (links, texts, files) remains yours. You only grant us the technical licence needed to store it, display it and serve it to whoever scans the code. You are responsible for its lawfulness.
5. Plans, payments and renewals
- Paid plans renew automatically at the end of the chosen period, unless you cancel before renewal.
- Payments are handled by Stripe; we do not store your card details.
- You can change plan or cancel at any time from the Billing section: cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid.
- Unless the law provides otherwise, amounts already paid are non-refundable.
6. Dynamic QR Codes and continuity
Dynamic QR Codes work as long as your account and the plan that includes them are active. If a plan expires, dynamic QR Codes beyond the free plan limits are paused, not deleted: they become active again when you reactivate the plan.
On the Free plan each dynamic QR Code stays active for 6 months; we email you a week before it expires. After that, anyone who scans it sees the “QR expired” page: the QR stays in your dashboard and becomes active again when you switch to Starter or Pro. A Free account is permanently deleted 365 days after sign-up, with all its QR Codes, analytics and files, after an email notice; to keep it, just switch to a paid plan before that date.
7. Availability and limitation of liability
We do our best to keep the service always available, but we cannot guarantee it will be free of interruptions. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of profit or loss of data arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service. In any case our total liability does not exceed what you paid to DenQr in the previous 12 months.
8. Changes to the service and the terms
We may change the service and these terms. Significant changes will be communicated by email at least 15 days in advance; by continuing to use the service after that date you accept them.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Italian law. For consumers, the courts of their place of residence remain competent; in other cases the courts of Milan are competent.
